Axwell Talent Bio:
Hailing from Sweden, this DJ is one of the three core members of electronic super-group Swedish House Mafia along with Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso. He has produced mixes for many established artists such as Madonna, Usher, Pharrell, Nelly Furtado and Adele. He was nominated for a Grammy in 2010 for his remix of the international hit “Sweet Disposition” along with Dirty South. Axwell, born Axel Christofer Hedfors, is DJ and producer from Sweden. He broke through as a mainstream player in 2004 with worldwide dance hit “Feel The Vibe,” which was a chart topping success across all the major European markets. Along with his rising career as a solo act, Axwell’s collaboration duo Mambana also sold hundreds of thousands of records as well. Meanwhile, he began working with some of the biggest names music, remixing huge songs like Usher’s “Burn” and “Promiscuous” by Nelly Furtado.
In 2007 Axwell began working with fellow Swede superstars Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello as part of the Swedish House Mafia, which established itself officially the following year after earning massively positive reviews of their European performances. The “Mafia” deserves thanks for bringing big-room house music into the homes of non-EDM fans all around the world with a catchy, culturally universal sound. With hits like the seminal “Don’t You Worry Child” and “Greyhound,” the group was a cross over hit and paved the way for other EDM acts to find success in the previously untapped genre of pop. The group dissolved following their six-month final tour in 2013, which sold out shows the world over and reaffirmed their status as one of the most beloved electronic groups ever to grace the stage.
