Phaedra Parks is an American producer, entertainment attorney, and reality TV star on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta. She is the Managing Partner of The Parks Group P.C., in Atlanta Georgia where she practices law in Entertainment, Intellectual Property Rights, Civil and Criminal Litigation. She served as a legal analyst for NBC and Fox News during the Michael Jackson trial, Celebrity Justice, HLN during the Zimmerman Trial, Entertainment Tonight, EXTRA, and Court TV. Parks has also been featured in magazines such as Newsweek, People, XXL, Rolling Out, JET, Source, US Weekly, and L.A. Focus.Parks was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She attended Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia where she received her Bachelor’s of Arts with honors. She received her Doctorate degree from the University of Georgia. She was featured on Atlanta’s Hot 107.9, V-103, News Talk 680, and WAOK giving her legal expertise on public situations. She has also worked as a consulting producer and talent for BET’s show Tiny & Toya.
She was labeled by the Atlanta Business League as one of Atlanta’s Top Women of Influence in 2010. She was the featured cover story for Georgia Rising Stars Super Lawyers magazine in 2007 and was recognized in Rolling Out Magazine as one of Top 25 Most Influential Women in 2006 .Parks is credited in the Who’s Who Among Accountants & Lawyers edition in The Atlanta Business Chronicles and has also been recognized as a “Georgia Rising Star Super Lawyer” in the Atlanta Magazine and “Attorney of Distinction” in Jezebel Magazine.
Besides the demands of her career she has also has done a lot of philanthropic work and community service. She is the former President of the Gate City Bar Association and is still currently on the boards for the Junior League of Atlanta, Atlanta Children’s Shelter, and the American Bar Association’s Advisory Board, the Ryan Cameron Foundation, the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women, the University of Georgia’s Donald L. Hollowell Professorship Endorsement Committee, and the University of Georgia’s Law School Alumni Counsel.
