The Maria Schneider Orchestra
American arranger and composer Maria Schneider first rose to prominence as an apprentice arranger for Gil Evans, producing arrangements for the likes of Sting, and scoring films such as The Color of Money and Absolute Beginners. In 2005 her album Concert in the Garden became the first work sold entirely via the internet to win a Grammy; winning for Best Large Ensemble Album. In 2008 her composition "Cerulean Skies" also won a Grammy for Best Instrumental Composition. Booking the Maria Schneider orchestra is a great way to add entertainment your event. |
