Lewis Black
Voted the 51st of the 100 greatest stand-up comedians of all time, Lewis Black’s seemingly angry humor has touched millions in his long, decorated career. Hailing from Silver Spring, Maryland, Black continued life along the east coast enrolling at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he focused on playwriting, then later went on to obtain an MFA degree from the school of drama at Yale. Black was the host of the Comedy Central series Lewis Black’s Root of All Evil, has made appearances regularly on The Daily Show, and has been featured as either an actor or voice actor on over 15 films. Black’s stand up shows are probably his best works, including Black on Broadway, HBO’s Red, White, and Screwed, The Carnegie Hall Performance, and Stark Raving Black.
