Kreayshawn was born September 24, 1989 in San Francisco, CA. She spent most of her youth in the rough parts of Oakland, Ca. During her youth she was influenced by the hip hop culture and later decided to try her hand at rap music. Her first single “Gucci Gucci” was a smash hit and immediately put her into the limelight of the hip hop world. She was nominated at the Mtv Awards for Best New Artist and was even involved in hosting the Red Carpet Event before the awards. She has been the center of a lot of controversy over her use of the “N word” and has been the target of multiple diss songs by artists such as The Game and Rick Ross.
