The R&B singer Kelis was born Kelis Rogers-Jones on August 21, 1979. Best known for her hit single Milkshake, the singer made her debut in 1999 with the album Kaleidoscope. The single Caught out There reached number nine on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart. Her second album Wanderland was released in 2001 but audience response and album sales were mediocre. The artist's well deserved success came with the single Milkshake included on the 2003 album Tasty. The single was also contributed to her Grammy nomination for Best Urban/Alternative Performance. Kelis' fourth album, Kelis Was Here was released in August 2006 and it reached number ten on the Billboard 200. The album included the platinum single Bossy is one of the reasons for booking Kelis.
