J-Money

J-Money was born in Crawford , Mississippi. Hustling and Hip Hop all day was J-Money’s job. He started out with a local group called the Crawford Boys, which signed with NBA superstar Clarence Weatherspoon’s budding 35*35 Entertainment label. While he enjoyed his time with the group, J-Money decided to pursue a career as a solo artist. As he began recording with 35*35’s blessing, his friend Cadillac Don introduced J-Money to producer Big Fruit.

They began working on J-Money’s first single “Peanut Butter and Jelly,” and after asking Cadillac Don to do a verse on the track, the chemistry was undeniable. Taking Big Fruit’s advice, they decided to become a duo, and began recording in Atlanta. 35*35 Entertainment got Cadillac Don & J-Money a deal with Asylum and Warner Music Group for their 2006 debut album Look At Me. The song “Peanut Butter and Jelly” went gold on ringtone sales, and created quite a buzz with the video’s several-week run on BET’s Rap City.

After the release and promotion of their debut album, Cadillac Don decided to strike out on his own. J-Money talked with the 35*35 Entertainment team, and they decided to get behind J-Money’s goal of a solo project. The upcoming album features beats from producers C. Sharp and Big Fruit, and guest appearances from Jim Jones, Rick Ross, Yo Gotti, Slim Thug, 8 Ball & MJG, Cadillac Don, Lil Boosie, Tremble, Jackie-O and more.
