Herbie Hancock
One of the great names in all of music, Herbie Hancock's contributions to music have been legendary. Considered a child prodigy on the piano, Hancock catapulted to fame after joining Miles's Davis's "second great quintet". In 1986 he would win an Academy Award for his work on the Round Midnight Original Soundtrack. He has also won numerous Grammy Awards, including a 2008 Album of the Year award for River: The Joni Letters, a feat which had only once previously been achieved by a jazz record.
