Aimee Ann Duffy better known as singer Duffy is of Welsh decent. Her first album titled Rockferry was released in 2008 and debuted at No.1 on the UK album chart. In 2008 it sold more albums than any other record released in the UK. It sold 1.68 million copies in its first year and went on to sell more than 3 million in the UK and 6 million worldwide. Hits from the album included songs like Mercy and Warwick Ave. In 2009 the singer won the Grammy award for Best Pop Vocal Album and was nominated in two other categories as well.
