David Archuleta

David Archuleta was born December 28, 1990 in Miami, FL. He is a pop singer/songwriter who came to fame on the seventh season of American Idol. At the time he appeared on the show he was only 16 years old and is one of the youngest talents to grace the Idol stage. Even at 12 years old David Archuleta was already beginning to gain fame as he was awarded the Junior Vocal Champion award on Star Search 2. Although this was a great success it was his finish as the runner up on American Idol that really sent his career into the stratosphere. In 2008 he released his debut album which featured the hit single Crush. The album debuted at No.2 and sold nearly 1 million copies worldwide. He then released his Christmas album called Christmas From The Heart, which was also a great success. This led him into his third album, which was titled The Other Side Of Down.
