Dane Cook

Dane Cook was born in 1972 in Cambridge, MA. He began his standup comedy career as a teen right out of high school in 1990. He debuted to the American public on television where he made an appearance on “The Late Show With David Letterman”. He then went on to make several appearances on the Comedy Central network. Back in the early part of the 2000’s Dane recognized that the Internet would be an integral tool in his success as a performer. He decided to use his life savings in 2002 to launch his own website and began marketing himself on the web using sites like Myspace.com to bring attention to his comedic act. He has since gone on to become one of the most successful standup comics of the modern era. His comedy album “Retaliation” which he released in 2005 was a mega hit, going double platinum and debuting at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 during the initial week of release, which made it the highest charting comedy album in nearly 27 years. Between the years of 2003 and 2009 Dane released three comedy albums, two comedy specials, starred in movies, and a reality show.
