Camile Velasco

Camile Velasco was born September 1, 1985 and is a Filipino-American pop singer. She was born in Makati City, Philippines and later lived in Maui, Hawaii. Camile is part Irish, part Spanish and Philipino. She was a star of the third season of American Idol where she finished in third place. The winner that season was her close friend and superstar Fantasia Barrino. After experiencing great success on the show she went on to tour and appear in performances in front of thousands of fans. She was featured during the NFL Pro Bowl halftime show where she performed for football fans across America. In 2007 she opened for Lauryn Hill during the Bob Marley Fest, which was held close to home in Kapolei, HI.
