Bjork

Bjork was born on November 21, 1965 in Reykjavik, Iceland. Her father was a union representative and electrician, her mother was an activist. At a very young age Bjork honed her musical talents on the piano. Her first attempt at a musical career came when she was a part of a musical group called the SugarCubes. The group released their first album in 1988 and was a huge hit in Iceland. Bjork decided to split from the band and released her first solo project in 1993 called Debut. The album was a hit going platinum in the US. Bjork went on to release 5 more albums during her career and has toured the world as a solo artist.
