Barbara Eden

Barbara Eden born Barbara Jean Morehead is a famous American TV actress as well as singer. She was born August 23, 1934 in Tucson, Arizona to parents Alice and Hubert. At a young age her parents separated and she and her mother moved to San Francisco where they lived through the Great Depresssion. Her performing career began when she joined her church choir. She was later named Miss San Francisco in 1951 and went on to enter the Miss California pageant.

Edens claim to fame was her starring role on the hit television show I Dream of Jeannie where she played a genie set free from her bottle by Anthony Nelson. The show was on the air from 1965 to 1970, then in 1985 she starred in the made for TV movie I Dream of Jeannie: 15 Years Later then again in 1991 in I Still Dream of Jeannie.
