Akon Talent Bio:
Akon - Aliaune Thiam (born April 16, 1973) is one of the most accomplished artists, well-known all over the world primarily as a hip hop and R&B singer-songwriter and rapper but also as a record producer. Booking Akon will bring you some of the artist`s greatest songs. Akon's debut album, Trouble was released on June 29, 2004 and its hit "Lonely" remained on top of the charts for fifteen consecutive weeks. His second album, Konvicted released in 2006, was nominated to Grammy Awards Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for the single "Smack That". The album included collaborations with great legends of hip hop such as Eminem, Snoop Dogg and Styles P. Akon's third album Freedom is set to be released by the end of December 2008 and it is said to be focused on multiple genres: dance, pop, soul and hip hop. Meanwhile, Akon has performed in The Sweet Escape Tour with Gwen Stefani, then embarked on his Konvicted tour, then joined Rihanna on her Good Girl Gone Bad Tour. Akon has his own record label - Kon Live Distribution and he has confirmed his debut in television and movie world. In addition to his numerous musical projects, in 2007 he made his debut in the fashion world with Konvict Clothing that features mainly urban street ware.
